How to Measure Your Foot

Choosing the right size is essential for the comfort of your shoes. Follow this simple guide to measure your foot correctly and find the perfect fit, avoiding returns and disappointment.

What You Need

πŸ“„

A4 Sheet

A white sheet of paper to place on the floor

✏️

Pencil or Pen

To mark the reference points

πŸ“

Ruler or Tape Measure

To measure the length in centimetres

How to Measure in 4 Steps

1

Position the Sheet

Place the A4 sheet on a flat, hard surface (floor, not carpet). Fix the sheet with sticky tape so it doesn't move. Stand with your heel against a wall or a straight edge.

πŸ’‘ Wear the socks you would normally use with the shoes you want to buy.
2

Mark the Points

Holding the pencil perpendicular to the sheet, mark a point at the end of your heel and a point in front of your longest toe (which may be the big toe or the second toe). Keep your body weight distributed over both feet.

πŸ’‘ If someone can help you, it will be easier and more accurate.
3

Measure the Length

With the ruler, measure the distance between the two marked points. This is the length of your foot in centimetres. Repeat the measurement for the other foot: feet are rarely identical!

πŸ’‘ Always take the larger foot as your reference.
4

Find Your Size

Compare your measurement with the size chart below or on the product page you're interested in. Add around 0.5-1 cm to your foot length to allow the comfort space your toes need.

πŸ’‘ Every brand can vary slightly: always check the specific size guide.

⚑ Important Tips

πŸŒ™

Measure in the Evening

Feet swell during the day. Measuring them in the evening guarantees a comfortable fit all day long.

🧦

Use the Right Socks

Wear the socks you'll use with the shoes. Thick or thin socks make a difference.

πŸ‘Ÿ

Stand Up

Always measure standing up, with your weight distributed. When sitting, the foot is shorter.

πŸ“

Measure Both

Feet are rarely identical. Always use the measurement of the larger foot.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm between two sizes, which do I choose?
For sneakers and casual shoes, always choose the larger size. You'll have more comfort and room for your toes, especially on hot days when feet tend to swell. For dress shoes or a snug fit, you can opt for the smaller size.
I have wide feet, what should I do?
If you have wide feet, consider going up half a size from your standard measurement. Some brands like New Balance offer models with a wider fit. On our product pages we always indicate whether a model runs wide or narrow.
I have narrow feet, will the shoe be too loose?
If you have narrow feet, stick to the size that matches your foot length. Avoid sizing down to compensate for the width: you'd risk squashing your toes. Instead, look for models with a closer fit.
Are sizes the same across all brands?
No, every brand can differ slightly. That's why we've created specific size guides for the main brands. Nike tends to run slightly small, Adidas is generally true to size, New Balance often offers wider fits.
Can I change size if I get it wrong?
Of course! We offer free size exchanges. Just fill in the returns form within 14 days of delivery and we'll send you the new size. You'll only pay €7 for the new shipment.
