This privacy policy explains, in simple terms, what personal data the Gagliotta Calzature app processes and why. It applies to the mobile application; for the website, the full privacy policy published at gagliottacalzature.com applies.
Who processes your data
The data controller is GC Corporation S.r.l., Via Emanuele Gianturco 92, 80146 Naples (NA), Italy — VAT ID IT09539861212. For any privacy-related requests, you can write to privacy@gagliottacalzature.com.
What data the app collects
Account: if you choose to log in, the app reads your customer account name, email, orders, and addresses solely to display them to you and manage your purchases. Login takes place on a secure page and the app does not store any passwords.
Sizes and favorites: your shoe size, clothing size, and the products you save to your favorites remain on your phone; if you have an account, they are also saved there so they follow you if you change devices.
Notifications: if you enable notifications and have logged in, your device's technical identifier is linked to your customer profile in order to send you alerts. For shipping status alerts, the notification provider receives your email (to identify you), your order number, and its status, nothing else. You can revoke this permission at any time via your phone settings.
Personalization: if you have logged in, we record the products you view, those you add to your cart or favorites, and the home page sections you open, in order to offer you more relevant content and promotions — for example, a reminder if you leave something in your cart. Your chosen preferences (such as Women, Men, and Kids categories) remain on your phone.
Purchases: payment is processed via the store’s secure and certified systems; the app does not see or store your card details.
Return photos: if you attach photos to a return request, they are sent to the store only to evaluate the request. Before sending, the app removes technical metadata from the image (location, date, phone model). Photos are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Error reporting: if the app encounters an error, it sends a technical report that helps us understand and fix it: device model, system and app version, and the sequence of screens opened before the error. The report does not contain your name, email, addresses, or the content of your orders.
What the app does NOT do
The app does not use your location, does not contain third-party advertising tools, does not track your activity for other parties' marketing, and does not sell your data.
Who helps us provide the service
To function, the app relies on providers who manage the online store, the sending of emails and notifications, the temporary storage of return photos, and the collection of error reports. These providers process data only on our behalf and according to our instructions, acting as data processors. Some are based outside the European Union: in those cases, the transfer takes place with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses).
How long we keep your data
Account data is kept as long as the account exists; order data for the time required by law (tax and accounting obligations); return photos for 90 days; error reports for 90 days; preferences saved only on the app remain on your phone until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Your rights
You can delete your account directly from the app, via App Settings → "Delete your account": the request is completed within 30 days and also applies to the website, as the account is the same. You may also request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability at any time by writing to privacy@gagliottacalzature.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
